> Example Licenses And Applications > Simple Trial Example License And Application Simple Trial Example License And ApplicationYou can find this example program and license inside the folder \SoftwareShield\Pre-Compiled Examples\SimpleTrial. Note that the license project file ("SimpleTrialExample.lpj") is provided for your reference but you should never distribute license project files (.lpj) with your actual applications. This example license is configured to allow the example program to run for 14 days after which time the trial period is expired and the program will not run unless you enter an Activation Code (indicating that you have "purchased" the software). Below are instructions on how to test the example program and unlock it. Note that if you have not yet purchased the SoftwareShield System, while you are testing the example program, the "Demo Version" dialog may appear to remind you that the version of SoftwareShield you are using is a demo version. Simply dismiss this dialog and continue with the steps as noted. If you have already purchased the SoftwareShield System, but the "Demo Version" dialog continues to appear, be sure you have read and followed the instructions in the section: Unlocking The Demo Version Of SoftwareShield. Note that you may wish to refer to the section How To Make a Trial Version of your Application That Expires for more detailed information. Important Note About Testing The Simple Trial Example Program:While you are testing the example program you may be tempted to play with the system clock on your machine to examine how the ClientProtector deals with trial periods and moving the clock back and forth. If you are using the Evaluation (Demo) Version of the SoftwareShield System, you will probably corrupt your SoftwareShield License file. If you are still using the evaluation version of SoftwareShield, DO NOT MOVE YOUR SYSTEM CLOCK. Once you purchase the SoftwareShield System, moving your system clock has no effect on SoftwareShield system itself running on your system. To Test The ApplicationSimply run the application and follow the instructions. We suggest that you use the simulate "purchase on-line" option and see how the communication with the web-activator works.
