An Authorization Definition Parameter Description only applies to a General Use Authorization Definition. It is a description you must enter if you choose to use a parameter with a General Use Definition.

The description is a string of any length which you use to simply describe your intended purpose for the parameter itself. It is not used by any logical processing by the ClientProtector, but is particularly useful during license development as it appears along with the definition entry in the Programming Notes files.

It is also particularly useful when you are using the Manual-Activator since these descriptions are visible to you once you load the license in it and you can quickly refresh your memory regarding your intent for the parameter value.

If you choose not to use a parameter with a General Use Authorization Definition, you do not have to enter a description.
