SoftwareShield
System Feature Guide > Generating Activation Codes
Programmatically > Override Shelf-Life
Override Shelf-LifeWhen you are using the COM-Activator to generate Activation Codes programmatically, you have the option to override the Shelf-Life corresponding to the Authorization Definition for which you are generating an Activation Code. This gives you the option when generating Activation Codes using the COM-Activator, to make the decision to change the period of time which an Activation Code may remain valid. You may choose to lengthen, shorten or completely eliminate the Shelf-Life of the Activation Code you generate. More InformationFor help on understanding what the Shelf-Life feature is, see Authorization Definition Shelf-Life in this feature Reference. For help on actually overriding an Authorization Definition Shelf-Life with the COM-Activator, see: SoftwareShield COM Activator Component |
