Providing The Manually Generated Codes To Your Customers

Providing the Activation Codes to your customer is a simple task once they are generated. Simply copy and paste the code from the Activation Code edit box into an email (or whatever).

The light at the bottom of the SoftwareShield Manual-Activator will turn from red to green when an Activation Code has been successfully generated. Below you can see two examples where, in the first image, we have yet to input all the correct values (no code generated). The second image shows the Activation Code section once all fields have been correctly entered and a valid Activation Code has been generated.

If you must read the Activation Code over the telephone, to avoid errors, it is a good idea to memorize the first six characters of the phonetic alphabet and use the words in place of simply saying the letter. We have numerous times found this very helpful, especially when communicating with foreign customers who may have an accents - which can really confuse things. The standard phonetic characters are: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo and Fox-trot.

You might dictate the Activation Code in the above image to a customer over the phone as: "Your Activation Code is: Delta, five, Fox-trot, six, dash, four, zero, six, Charlie, dash, one, two, seven, six, dash seven, eight, three Alpha".
