Supported Platforms and RequirementsSupported Operating Systems: The table below shows the supported Windows operating systems on which you can install and run the SoftwareShield System Development Environment as well as which operating systems you can deploy the SoftwareShield protection components to protect your software. The Development Environment column refers to the software developers OS only. This is where you will design, develop, compile, test and generate Activation Codes for your licenses that you will use to protect your applications. This is essentially the SoftwareShield Software Development Kit. The Deployment column refers to the OS for your customers to whom you will deploy your applications which are protected by the SoftwareShield binary components and licenses. As you can see, virtually every Windows operating system is supported for deployment.
